First 100 Days

I haven’t posted on LinkedIn for a few months now as I had been working on starting my own talent consultancy. To be honest, I also wanted to get a feel for myself the viability of the business first hence I sort of soft launched it initially instead of openly announcing it.

I am glad to share that my company, Talliant Advisors (www.talliantadvisors.com) just passed 100 days since getting its Employment Agency (EA) license approval from MOM. People often talk about the “first 100 days” as being crucial for someone taking on a new role or for a company starting out. So far, I am encouraged by the level of active business activities and the potential ones in the pipeline.

Starting a business, especially under the current climate, is not easy. I am very thankful to family, friends, former colleagues and other professional contacts for the support and encouragement you have given me. Whether it is engaging my firm’s services, offering to help in any way or just simply asking how I am doing - I truly appreciate your actions and thoughts.

I also wanted to share some of my personal experiences and learnings as I embarked on this transition (more to follow in future posts). I am sure there would be people out there who might be going through similar changes in their lives. I am by no means a success story (yet) but if you are reading this and going through a similar phase and feeling lost, please reach out and I would be more than happy to have a chat, share notes and we can encourage one another. Being a solopreneur (a new word I learned recently) or entrepreneur can be a lonely journey sometimes so having a support ecosystem is always helpful.
